			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My pal Rob once said that he had arranged a show for this band to play in Seattle, and then had to cancel. It was too late though, and the guys came anyway. They were pretty sad about it.</p>
<p>Sportsguitar has a sound that feels tightly wound together, as though it was recorded in a closet, although singer Oliver Obert doesn&#8217;t seem to mind. There were a couple of neat albums released in the states by Matador. I&#8217;ve chosen two of my favorites from their 1997 album, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Sportsguitar/dp/B000ZKIFA2/ref=dm_ap_paging?ie=UTF8&amp;%2AVersion%2A=1&amp;page=2&amp;%2Aentries%2A=0">Married, 3 Kids</a>:</p>
