It was too late though, and the guys came anyway. They were pretty sad about it.

Sportsguitar has a sound that feels tightly wound together, as though it was recorded in a closet, although singer Oliver Obert doesn’t seem to mind. There were a couple of neat albums released in the states by Matador. I’ve chosen two of my favorites from their 1997 album, Married, 3 Kids:
